M&T Food Industries, Inc., established in 1978 and incorporated in 1997 has been in the snack manufacturing business for more than 30 years. M&T Food Industries, Inc. is a family-owned business that specializes in producing quality and affordable snacks made from imported nuts and peas, which many Filipinos grew up with.
It popularized the EXPO peanuts that many Filipinos often refer to as ‘maning kalbo’ (‘the bald peanut’) and it recently revived its flagship product, EXPO greaseless peanuts also widely known colloquially as ‘maning hubad’ (‘the naked peanut’).
Its Sunshine brand of green peas, first produced in the 1980s, was the first green pea snack in the market. Filipinos today are often reminded of their childhood whenever they see the Sunshine brand. It is a snack that most Filipinos grew up with and reminiscent of many Filipinos’ happy childhood memories.
